Faith is trust and confidence in God and His promises as expressed in Hebrews 11:1. Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting love.
It doesn’t matter what your past looks like. You too can share in God’s gift of eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
No matter what you are going through and how dark it may feel, you can rest in knowing that you can find hope in God’sc care.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
ALL people are equally deserving of God’s wrath because of our sin.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble.
When your life feels like it is spinning out of control, just remember that you are not alone! God offers safety and strength for whatever you are facing today.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
So the gift of God is eterrnal life (Salvation) and the only way tht we can get it is by putting our trust and faith in Jesus Christ.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
There is no other way to receive the gift of eternal life but through accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
I grew up going to church on Sundays, but I never knew what it really meant to be a follower of Jesus Christ. I thought that if I went to church sometimes, was a “good person” and dropped some money in the collection plate once in a while, I would go to Heaven when I died. After all, God is a kind and loving person right? He wouldn’t let me spend eternity in Hell.
Well, I found out later in life that I was totally wrong. What I realized is that I needed to admit my sins, trust in the fact that Jesus is who he says that he is and that he died for my sins on the cross. I need to believe that He died and was buried and rose again on the third day and put my trust in Him.
I have sinned many times in my life. We all have sinned. Romans 3:10 tells us, As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one. There is not a single person on this earth that has not sinned. There was only one person that ever walked on this earth and did not sin and that was Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23 also tells us this…For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.
So what do we do about this? It’s quite simple really. There is no work or payment that we can do or give to God that will get Him to allow us to be with Him forever in heaven. There is a prayer that we can pray that will change our lives forever.
Dear God, I know that I have sinned and that I deserve eternity in hell. I know that you sent your Son Jesus Christ to take my sins upon Himself and die on the cross for me. I believe that He died and was buried, but rose again on the third day. I believe that eternal life is something that I receive as a gift. I do not deserve this gift but You give it to me freely. Today I put my trust in You and ask that you take me to Heaven when I die. Please send your Holy Spirit to dwell within my heart and help me to lead a life inspired by you and help me to be the person that You created me to be. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
